Werner Herzog's new documentary friends into our on-line souls
Celebrated Grizzly Man director Werner Herzog turned his gaze to the web, and the web gazed again. Herzog’s newest documentary, Lo and Behold: Reveries of the Related World, dives into the previous, current and way forward for the web, that includes interviews with digital powerhouses like Elon Musk and Web Protocol inventor Bob Kahn. The movie covers a variety of views, together with chats with a household that believes the web is a manifestation of evil, a lady who says she fell unwell from publicity to wi-fi radiation alerts and a gaggle of monks who apparently love Twitter.
Lo and Behold asks if the web is eradicating people’ want for face-to-face communication whereas dissecting the way it connects the world. Herzog even chimes in himself a number of occasions, as soon as to inform Musk that he would gladly be despatched to Mars. Musk responds diplomatically.
Lo and Behold debuted at Sundance in January and it is set to hit theaters, iTunes, Amazon Video and On Demand on July eighth.
