The French are coming… for Time Warner Cable
Ever since Comcast was scared off shopping for Time Warner Cable, a slew of different companies have been eyeing up the enterprise for a purchase order. The newest to throw a beret into the ring is French telecoms agency Altice (us neither), which Reuters and the Wall Road Journal declare has eyes on America’s No. 2. The outfit is already trying to make it huge right here after saying that it is buying Suddenlink, a regional cable firm working in a handful of states, together with West Virginia, Texas and Louisiana, at a price of $9.1 billion.
The 2 papers assume that a deal for Time Warner will not be as straightforward to tug off, because it’s believed that the corporate has nowhere close to sufficient money left in its struggle chest. The agency may even be dealing with stiff competitors from Constitution Communications, which missed out on choosing up TWC after making a $sixty one billion bid in January 2014. No matter occurs, it appears as if we will have one other few months the place everybody tries to purchase everybody, to no-one’s satisfaction.
