Tesla coil gun exists, might shoot lightning
Impressed by the graphic novel “5 Fists of Science” — and maybe inspired by the plucky MIT scholar who made his personal Tesla coil hat and survived — a DIYer named Rob designed a Tesla coil gun, which he says is absolutely practical. Rob used a Nerf gun forged in aluminum for the housing and created a excessive voltage change with a 3D powder printer. The gun is powered by an 18V ion drill battery and a flyback transformer housed inside a PVC plumbing finish cap. Although Rob has but to fireside the gun, pictures present what he says are sparks from the setup, and a demo clip is on the best way. Whereas video proof is all the time good, so is preserving your life. We want Rob one of the best with each.
