Newsweek Twitter Hacked With Skilled-ISIS Messages

Newsweek journal’s Twitter account was hacked on Tuesday morning, displaying skilled-ISIS messages which were reminiscent of these plastered on CENTCOM’s social media accounts as soon as they’ve been hacked in January.

"We’ll affirm that Newsweek’s Twitter account was hacked this morning, and have since regained administration of the account," Newsweek said in a press launch emailed to NBC Info. "We apologize to our readers for one thing offensive which can have been despatched from our account all through that interval, and are working to strengthen our newsroom security measures going forward."

The profile photograph on Newsweek’s Twitter net web page was modified with an image of a masked decide and the messages "CyberCaliphate" and "Je suIS IS."
