Journey soundtrack loses Grammy to Woman with the Dragon Tattoo
Austin Wintory’s composition of thatgamecompany’s Journey soundtrack earned him a Grammy nomination within the Greatest Rating Soundtrack for Visible Media class, an accomplishment Wintory was shocked to realize. It marked the primary time a full online game rating was acknowledged by the Academy, following Christopher Tin’s win in 2011 with the music “Baba Yetu” from the Civilization four soundtrack.
Final night time, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross took house the Grammy for Greatest Rating Soundtrack for Visible Media, for his or her The Woman with the Dragon Tattoo music. Wintory took the information in stride on Twitter, congratulating Reznor on the win.
“Clearly I did not work on #JourneyPS3 hoping to win a Grammy,” Wintory later tweeted. “All the level was the sport itself and that is gone past my wildest goals.” Journey gained the highest honor on the DICE 2013 awards and we have been pretty keen on it as properly. Good work, Wintory.
