Google hires the lead for Tesla's semi-autonomous driving tech
Apple and Tesla aren’t the one two tech corporations grabbing one another’s employees to satisfy their automotive goals — Google has quietly employed Robert Rose, the lead for Tesla’s semi-autonomous Autopilot program. It isn’t clear what he is engaged on apart from software program at Google Robotics, nevertheless it will not be shocking if he is engaged on self-driving automobiles. He is unlikely to be working for Boston Dynamics, whose employees are comparatively unbiased from the Google mothership. One factor’s for positive: Tesla will discover his absence. Rose was the lead engineer for a few of SpaceX’s earlier rocketry and reported on to Elon Musk whereas at Tesla, so this clearly wasn’t a trivial transfer.
